Hi all,

I am packaging these files for those who have AMD K6x cpu's. I bear no responsability to anything you may get from these files. They are provided as a cutosy to those who are interested in the setup I would run my system at. You use these files at your own risk

mxk6opt.exe is provided by Matrox and usually works alsoin settign up the LFB, Linear Frame buffer, for the AMD K6x series of cpu's

k6eweb.exe is provided by an unknown author. This file enbles you to set the eweb registers for faster memory management.

I have included a file called opt.bat . This is the file as formated on my system. It calls the two files to optimize the system.

Steps:

1) The two executable files must be called in a true dos mode without any memory managers. This means you must rem out any memorymanager lines in the config.sys file if they exist.

2.) If you take all files and extract them to the root directory. Then add to the first line of the autoexec.bat file "call c:\opt.bat" you are done.

3.) Reboot and see if system performance has been enhanced. You may find these enhance speed and either increase or decrease stability.

Removal is just about as easy. Just reverse the steps.
